We’ve made the process of using your WPA Health Insurance as smooth as possible. Follow the steps below and let our team handle the billing with WPA on your behalf.

Start by calling WPA or using the WPA Health app to check if your health insurance plan includes physiotherapy treatments. Confirm whether your policy requires you to pay an excess, and ask about your physiotherapy allowance, either the total number of sessions covered or the maximum claim amount. It’s also important to find out if you’ll need a GP referral before starting treatment. If so, you can obtain one quickly through WPA’s remote GP service or your NHS GP.

Once you’ve received authorisation from WPA, you can book your appointment by phone, email, or by visiting one of our London clinics in person. When booking, please provide your WPA membership number, authorisation or claim number, and any details about your excess and treatment allowance. If you’re planning to receive treatment for more than one condition, you can give us multiple authorisation codes. Our admin team will ensure your appointments are booked correctly and invoiced under the right codes.

After your treatment starts, WPA will email you with the details of your excess payment. The exact amount depends on your policy, but for most musculoskeletal and neurological treatments, it typically ranges between £100 and £150. Because WPA’s billing approvals usually take a few weeks to process, we’ll most likely send you a payment request for the excess once we’ve received confirmation from them.

If you need additional physiotherapy sessions beyond what WPA initially approved, you have two options. You can choose to self-fund the remaining sessions, or you can request WPA to approve more sessions. Our team can assist with this process by preparing the necessary documentation and communicating with WPA on your behalf. We’ll ensure everything is in place to support your continued recovery.
