Clearcut Physiotherapy Accepts AXA Health Insurance in London

All three Clearcut Physiotherapy clinics and all our Chartered Physiotherapists are AXA registered to ensure you can get prompt care for all your physiotherapy needs!

Our clinic admin team is an expert in invoicing AXA for you. All you need to do is provide us with your membership number and a few other details and we’ll bill AXA, and properly guide you regarding what is covered and what isn’t (number of sessions, type of treatments and assistive devices, etc.) and schedule you in for treatment ASAP!

Your Guide to Book Your Appointment with AXA London Physio Insurance at Clearcut Physiotherapy

1.   Find out your physiotherapy coverage details

Call AXA Health Insurance and confirm that your membership covers physiotherapy treatments. You’ll need your membership number to ask for such details. Confirm whether you need a GP referral for authorization of physiotherapy treatment. Members who need a GP referral can get one within a day or two through AXA’s online/phone GP service or you can go through your NHS GP.

2.   Inform them of your intent to get treatment from Clearcut Physiotherapy

All our London physio clinics and physiotherapists are AXA registered. Let AXA London Insurance know that you wish to book an appointment with us and get authorization.

You’ll provide them with our company name (Clearcut Physiotherapy), the name of the therapist treating you, and the registration number of the specific London physiotherapy branch you wish to attend.

Our AXA registration numbers are:

Keep your authorization/claim number safe. Find out details of excess pay, and allowance (number of sessions covered by AXA or total amount AXA will pay for physiotherapy treatment)

3.   Call us to book an appointment

You can book an appointment with us by calling 02082593196 or by walking into our clinics and talking to our receptionists.

Make sure you provide us with your AXA membership number, authorization/claim number, excess details and allowance information.

Remember, you can also give us multiple authorization codes if you wish to be treated for various conditions. Our expert admin team will book appointments and bill accordingly.

4.   Pay for your session

Check how much excess you need to pay to our clinic. It depends on your policy type. You’ll get an email from AXA after authorization detailing how much must be paid to us.

The excess amount varies depending on your membership/policy type but usually hovers around £100- £150 for most musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Since billing approvals take at least a few weeks, we’ll most likely send you a payment request for excess after your treatment has begun.

5.   Ongoing treatment or more sessions

In case your treatment requires more sessions for physiotherapy in London than what’s been approved by AXA, you have two options: pay for the remaining sessions out of pocket or request AXA for more sessions and get a new authorization code.

Our admin team can help you request more sessions from AXA by providing proper reasoning and documentation for more sessions.

Tips For A Smooth Experience at Clearcut Physiotherapy when Booking with AXA London Physiotherapy Insurance

Your appointment booking process will go through much quicker if you come prepared with the information needed for correct billing. Here’s the information you’ll need to give us and AXA:

  1. GP referral if you were required to have one.
  2. Provide us with your AXA membership number, authorization number, allowance (either number of sessions or total amount), and excess details.
  3. Let us know which payment system works best for you so we know what to send you in case you need to pay excess. We accept various online payment options and take cash.
  4. Promptly pay the excess at the right stage of the billing process (that’s the amount you pay out of pocket for your treatment).
  5. Reply to our communications ASAP.
  6. Keep safe the information you need to provide AXA when requesting authorization for your physiotherapy treatment. This includes the company name (Clearcut Physiotherapy) and the registration number of our specific clinic.

Things to Keep Safe When Using AXA London Physiotherapy Insurance

  1. Your membership number.
  2. Your authorization number or claim number. It’s different for each authorization request and usually follows the format of ABC1234 or AXACLM123456.
  3. AXA authorization/claim numbers are specific for each approved condition. If you have multiple joint involvements or more than one condition you wish to be treated for, you’ll need separate authorization numbers for each condition/ body part or joint.
  4. Number of approved sessions or amount, also called your allowance.
  5. Excess amount details (it depends on your membership type and can sometimes vary from one authorised treatment to the next, so it’s always best to check each time)
  6. Requirement of GP referral (most members don’t need a GP referral to see a physiotherapist or a chartered physiotherapist. You may need one if you’re under 18 or seeking care from a specialist physiotherapist)
